Why it's worth checking out: Technically, this isn't a completely new title. Armed with only his engineering tools and skills, Isaac faces a battle for survival. He soon discovers that the ship's crew has been slaughtered and infected by nightmarish creatures. Synopsis: Set in the 26th century, engineer Isaac Clarke is tasked with repairing the USG Ishimura, a massive deep-space mining ship that went dark during a routine mission. Plus, did I mention that you're able to pet and feed the various cats and dogs remaining in Tokyo (and even read their minds for hints)? This, combined with the horror Japanese folklore elements (think headless schoolgirls and horrifying spider-like human mutations charging at you), makes for an entertaining action-adventure gameplay that can be wrapped up in 20–30 hours (which, honestly, is a vibe to me because it's not something I have to pour endless time and energy into). The trailer boasts stunning visuals of the neon-lit streets of Japan, including an eerily empty Shibuya crossing - which, if you've watched Alice In Borderland, spells major trouble. Why it's worth checking out: Personally, the premise of Ghostwire: Tokyo is what immediately grabbed my attention. Using an arsenal of elemental abilities, you must unravel the truth behind the city's disappearance and save Tokyo. Synopsis: Tokyo's population has mysteriously vanished, with deadly paranormal spirits from Japanese folklore appearing to take over the city.
#WILD 9 PS1 GAMEPLAY PRO#
Whether you're a newbie or a seasoned pro when it comes to the Zelda gaming franchise, this game is bound to give you hours of enjoyable fun. There is no "correct" way to play Tears Of The Kingdom - and herein lies the true beauty of it. Link's weapons and various abilities give you infinite possibilities in progressing through the game at your own pace. When it comes to gameplay, Tears Of The Kingdom is both creatively empowering and provides immense intellectual satisfaction. The kingdom of Hyrule and its endless beauty is your playground, as you control Link and explore everything - from the dizzying heights of the sky islands to the vastness of the grounds and caves below. Tears Of The Kingdom is Nintendo's masterclass in reminding us about the simplistic magic of video games and their power to not only transport us into other worlds, but give us complete and utter freedom to explore them. Why it's worth checking out: If you were waiting for a game to convince you to buy a Nintendo Switch (hi, it's me!), then let it be this one. Now, Link must reunite with Zelda and uncover what happened. Ganondorf's powers result in Link's right arm being corrupted, the Master Sword being shattered, Hyrule Castle being sent skywards, as well as Link and Zelda being separated.

There, they find hieroglyphs depicting a great alliance between Hylians and Zonai, as well as witnessing a mummified Ganondorf's awakening.

Synopsis: A sequel to The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild, Tears Of The Kingdom begins with Zelda and Link exploring a network of tunnels deep beneath Hyrule Castle. It's the perfect blend of nostalgic elements from previous releases, while modernising the gameplay to keep the franchise as fresh and addictive as ever. Diablo IV is a hellishly good time - and that's coming from someone who hasn't touched Diablo since the early 2000s (remember when Diablo II was all the rage?). The fourth instalment in the Diablo gaming franchise has received rave reviews for its enjoyable gameplay, customisable character classes (which include the Barbarian, Necromancer, Rogue, Sorcerer and Druid), hauntingly beautiful aesthetic and storyline involving Lilith. Why it's worth checking out: Since the release of Diablo IV, Blizzard has reported that it's become the fastest-selling game in its history - and for good reason. This time, a legendary name resurfaces - Lilith, daughter of Mephisto, the whispered progenitor of humanity. Synopsis: Taking place 50 years after the events of Diablo III: Reaper of Souls, players are thrust again into another battle between the angels of High Heavens and the demons of the Burning Hells in Sanctuary.
